Many thanks to Gary Kruger for feedback on recent Duiker sightings on Simbithi:
 
 
29 May 2009 Morning: 1 x Grey Duiker disturbed sunning in the grass, between 5 Plumbago Way & Security fence.
8 June 2009 Afternoon: 1 x Grey Duiker at Security fence behind 5 Plumbago, eating berries on ground dropped by monkeys above.
15 June 2009 Night: Grey Duiker spotted in the road, at the Ballito Gate-1 side of Plumbago Way.
19 July 2009 Morning: 2 x Grey Duiker at Security fence behind 5 Plumbago Way, eating berries on ground dropped by monkeys above.
 

We encourage all owners to send us the date, time and place of sightings and pictures if possible. The next batch of wildlife is being sourced at the moment and will shortly be introduced onto the Estate.

Should anyone see or manage to steal a picture, please forward the picture and the place where the buck was seen to SEEHOA.
 
The following buck where released in Simbithi on 31 May 2007:
 
  1. Grey Duiker - Male
  2. Blue Duiker - 1 Breeding Pair (Female Pregnant)
  3. Bushbuck - 2 Males (1 Adult, 1 Sub-adult), 2 Females (1 Pregnant)
 
After the above buck were released, they were spotted in the following places, though we have not heard of any sitings since:
 
  1. Grey Duiker - Crossing road at swallow ponds
  2. Grey Duiker - Spotted by ERK 16 in the Equestrian site
  3. Grey Duiker - Spoor near bushland on road 12
